These standard 0805 surface mount LEDs are manufactured by GT Light Electronics. Due to their small size and a low profile, they can be mounted almost anywhere to provide high brightness indicators, and with their low voltage and low current requirements, they can easily be tied to a micro-controller output pin via a small resistor.
